Maker of the World’s Most Famous Ring
Jens Hansen is a well-known artisan jewellery workshop in New Zealand and the original maker of The One Ring for the Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit movies.
Originally established in 1968 by Jens and Gurli Hansen, the central Nelson studio workshop is now run by Jens’ son Halfdan Hansen. Jens’ work is highly regarded nationally and internationally; he is in the Marquis Who’s Who and has designs in the permanent collection of the Museum of New Zealand, Te Papa Tongarewa.
